Horist,Jimmyblue,anyone tell me about the closed loop proportional Idle?

Ok in HP tuner What does the Closed loop proportional Idle(Use Idle proportional Fuel Tables)Mean? Mine is on ,what would happen id I turned them off?I couldnt find this one with the F1 key....TIA
