Default I saw a new Granitelli tuner for the A/F mixture?

Its been a while since I've posted here, just got finished with the 4 hurricanes here in south florida in the last month, so now its back to the car Looking in a cataloge i got got, I noticed that granitelli has a new tool for adjusting the Air/Fuel mixture by piggy backing the mass air flow sensor. It comes with a screen so you can see what your mixture is, and allows the END USER, to adjust accordingly. If someone knows more than me on this tool, does it really work? and if so, this is the tool That would really help me the most, as my cars is running LEAN!!!!! If this works the way they advertise it, I'll buy it right now? Thanks everyone!

sounds like it's a MAFT w/a built in display ...

It's just tricking the PCM into thinking more or less air is entering the car.. thus adding or removing fuel ...

sounds like the kind of thing that if you can get it really cheap fine... if not skip it (it sounds exactly like a MAF Translator w/a display)

I dunno how much this unit is... but if you know the car's running lean then you must have some scanning software... so no need for the display on the Granitelli unit... You could just go w/a used MAFT and be set

I used to use a MAFT, but I never really knew exacly where my car was running (12.5.1 for example.) This new unit has an LCD screen that you mount in the car, and tells you actual A/F ratio while you drive, while you play with NITROUS, etc.... It 250.00, but I think it might be worth a try...

It's $300 at the one place I saw. Much better off
getting tuner software if you have the laptop
already; what the Granatelli does is one table in
HPTuners/LS1-Edit (out of what, a hundred?).
$300 for the privelege of blind-tuning one thing
is not a bargain I think.

dunno... still sounds like a waste, unless it includes a wideband O2 sensor it's got to be either

1. Guestimating AFR off the inaccurate narrowband O2 sensors
or
2. Guestimating AFR based on stock PCM tables for certain MAF values

for 250 bux ... you're 1/2 way to a real tuning solution...

It alters the maf output, which might correct for fueling, but will throw load off.

Its not the correct way to tune, and you won't see it within 20 feet of my wiring harness.

That was before the days of laptop tuning software. Its a translator with screen basically. If u want to increase your maf tables just rescale your tables in edit or hp tuners and its the same thing.

$250-300. You're half way to Hptuner Vcm Suite. Do yourself a favor, save up a little and get the Suite. You'll have more control over so many more aspects of your vehicles performance. I almost bought a Vinci (which I have read is good) and/or a Diablo programmer. Man, Im glad I didnt. My Suite will be here soon. Ill post my results as soon as I get some results.

Stay away from this item. Go with HPTuner...
