Does Our LS1's idle in open loop?

Just curious ,does a 1999 LS1 idle both warm and cold in open loop? Thanks

once the sensors send a clean signal the car goes into open loop (many factors include cts/iat) play here. But yeah all cars have to idle in closed loop to meet Emissions guidelines. Some states/countries only test idle emissions..

Ok Thank you for the info

Once your ECT crosses the Closed Loop Enable ECT
threshold you will snap into closed loop operation.
This happens about 92F except when your IAT is
insanely cold.
