Help I'm Stranded
 

While on dyno uploaded wrong program (one for a 5.3 chevy truck) will not let me install correct program for a 5.7 what do I do? Will I have to take to a dealer and have reflashed? I'm on vacation and run across a dyno day and got into trouble with having the 2 programs in my computer and hit wrong button and downloaded the truck to the tuner . Help my car thinks it's a truck

Will the software let you do a full re-write? I know there is some option (if you are using HPTuners), but I don't know if it is only in the pro version.

its only the pro version so he'd have to download the latest version if thats the software hes using. Good luck.

Are you running HPTuners? If so, you need to ask them. They *may* have a suggestion. How fast do you need it fixed? If you have your original file saved somebody with the pro version may be able to help you out.

I'm using the private version , limited to 4 licenses and using 2 , 1 for the truck and 1 for the car

Did you use the Advanced Menu and do a "Rewrite Entire VCM" while on the Dyno???

I don't think he is using HP Tuners. We don't have a slot based licensing scheme.

CAll me at the shop in Houston 281-993-5451. I can reflash your PCM to stock in person or if you wish to mail it to me i can have it back to you overnight!

I am able to do this with my GM Tech 2!

Really appericate all the replies. I'm stuck here in Tenn. and the tuner is going to get the us to a dealer in the morning to reflash back to stock. Monodax, didn't see the advanced menu but will try and rewrite VCM in the morning as first thing before loading it up and going to a dealership. Thanks for the heads up

Got the SS running. Had to install new PCM at dealership. Running on stock tuning for now. At least I'll be able to make it home. Thanks all for the replies. Johnny
