Ready to buy a tuner program, Tunercat?

Who is using Tunercat? I have seen mention of it, and it looks pretty decent. The cost is good, as well as the upgrade program. Any opinions? Should I just get HPtuners? Who has used both? I am going to be new to the tuning deal, and heard that HPtuners was very user friendly, but this Tunercat seems like such a good deal.

hp tuners no doubt, take your time and just learn how to use it. i wish i would have gotten it sooner becuase my predator tune sucked compaired to how this tune runs

I have both, one is just as easy to use as the other.

If you already have a scanner then go with tc.

What are you mostly going to tune? I have Tuner Cat and HPTuner and actually use TunerCat alot more. Mostly because of the larger vehicle coverage and the ability to tune the 96-99 R motors and the like.

HPTuner is a very good tool but first decide on what you are going to be tuning mostly or what you need to edit, then pick the software. It is not a one size fits all choice...

Or just get both!

Tunercat needs to update their website. How do they expect anyone to purchase their software with that antiquated bullshit for a website

They will update it when they have all of the cal files ready. They do not want 50 million emails on when the files for other cars will be ready. I tune with tunercat and it works great. They do not have scanning yet, but it is coming.

I have EFILive with FlashScan too and it is an excellent system! I would highly recommend that you do a little independent investigation for yourself so that you have a sense as to what you get with the various programs, ease of use, meeting your needs, etc. This would be my advice to anyone who is seriously looking at doing their own tuning.

All my best,

Steve
