Default What's Up with this IFR, still rich

LS6 with a TSP 233/239 .600 cam. Ran good with the LS1 26 lb injectors. Just changed to SVO 24 lb injectors. That's 24@39psi = 35.6 @59 psi.
LS1 edit, put in a factor of 73 (%) in the IFR table. That changes the gms/sec to a lower number Went for a drive and fouled out spark plugs. I reprogrammed to 65% then 60% then 55%. Start it up with my new LM1 wideband, it's super rich in open loop 11.2-11.3AFR. Am I doing the right thing here by using a 65 in the % box in LS1 edit? Do I need to change something else for open loop? Every time I start up it is super rich, IFR changes don't seem to change start up.

Reload the 26 lb table then multiply every cell in the table X 1.3692307.

Thumbs up

Right on man, Thanks. I was thinking a bigger injector would need a smaller number. Not the right logic.
I tried 136 and it started up good and ran about 15.0 AFR. So I went to 130 and that seems to be right. Just went for a test drive on a nice Friday afternnoon in Oregon. Running about 14.7 at cruising speed. At idle it leans out to about 16-17. WOT I am seeing about 13.5, maybe I need to go back to the 136 setting.
After months of motor building, it's time to have some fun...
I'm going to wait for traffic to quiet down and go log some WOT tonight

I don't know how your coming up with the 35.6 value. from 24# injectors.

the're somewhere around 28.9 going from 40 to 58 rail pressure.

Thanks for the input. That's the other part that I do not understand. I have seen formulas for injector flow that calculate sq rt x new x old etc. I read that the 24lb SVO is rated at 39 psi, and if you run it on a 58 lb system, isn't it (58/39) x 24 = 35.6
And new flow/ old= edit factor of: 35.6/26.2 = 1.35 Where did I go wrong here.

you might wanna check your sources (aka call ford/svo) on the rating of your injectors. i've seen 3 different pressures to rate flow on ford injectors, 39.15, 40, 43.5psi, so we're not exactly sure which one goes for which injectors.

then use the injectors.xls spreadsheet found in the stickies of PCM section
