Ease of tuning Delphi 38#r's

Hey guys, got a friend of mine who wants to sell me a set of 38# Delphi injectors out of his ATI procharger kit. He just upgraded to the 42# injectors. Any opinions on the ease of tuning these? Or is there a better injector I'm better off with. He mentioned they were the type that come in the GTP's. I'm using them for my n/a setup with a small shot of gas.
Part # is:

#0 280 155 868

Thanks in advance.

I believe the GTP injectors 38# are AC Delco # 24508208. FWIW.

Thanks Bink. These are part number #0 280 155 868. At least that's what is stamped out on the injector. I googled them and they came up as Bosch 38lbs'rs

42lb Delphis in mine and she tuned out fine. As long as you need the pulse width, shouldn't be a problem.

You're welcome. I have the GTPs - I read the part # off the Delco box ( saved the box for the stock injectors).

Okay, I did a little investigating.
I was wrong above and edited the info. Sorry.

The GTPs are 38 lb/hr at the GTP fuel pressure of 52 psi. This makes them 40 lb/hr at our 58 psi rail pressure. I then checked this against GM's 2000 ASA tune, Injector Flow Rate table, and the values between 100 kPa and 20 kPa are nearly identical.

I was told previously that these injectors are made by Bosch for AC Delco.

Mine are white body injectors.

FWIW.

ive got a set of the racetronix 38#ers, i would think you are ok with the cam and getting htem to run good. i can send you my bin file if you have hp tuenrs and you can see what changes i had to make

Cool, where can you get injectors flowtested at ?

WS6FirebirdTA00 Jun 12, 2005 04:06 PM

there was someone in the fueling section that was testing some, also for the cutoff limit, he would be your best bet, i woudl go in tehre and search, i dont even think he was charging becuase he watned to get some info on injectors. if you could have him test them for flow and cutoff limit that would be great, i would love to know whta it is
