10* knock, WTF?

Default 10* knock, WTF?

Okay well I decided to take the car for a spin this afternoon to log what the trans temps were like and it turns out I still have knock, but today I found 10* worth!!

So far the only connection I can make between them all is, the RPM's are low (between 1000-1550rpms), the TPS% is low, and advance just before the occurance is below 35* .

When the advance is above 35*, I havent seen any knock in those area's. So should I maybe add timming to those area's to see if that will get rid of the knock I experience there? Or am I right out in left field here. I have a chart attached of the latest suspect.

your lt trims are off in that section its adding fuel tune the ve I definately wouldnt add timing until its figured out

could also be false knock with an aftermarket valvetrain and aggressive cam lots of noise might look at adjusting knock sensor level at low rpms


hopefully someone else will jump in if im off

your lt trims are off in that section its adding fuel tune the ve if running SD I definately wouldnt add timing until its figured out

Its kind of hard to tell with only a screen shot. At a glance I noticed the engine temps are way to hot(at least for me) at 212, ltft is +8. If you can get your ect down the trans temps should follow


I'd like to see what the maf and injectors were doing at the time. With the headers and cam i'm guessing it needs a good VE tune, possibly maf.

It was 104* out today, the IAT's were anywhere between 100-150, mostly 130ish tho. The car is usually always below 200*, and with the new tstat Im usually seeing 175-185* driving and not much more in town/traffic.

104 in canada I figured it was 70* and you were on stock fan programming. sent pm back
