Question Cam Guys Help me understand why my tuner played with Park and Drive Spark Tables

Ok My Cam is MTI X1 cam with 4 degrees of advance built into it.Why would my tuner way advance my Drive closed throttle and park closed throttle tables?It doesnt make any sense to me...Thanks

I'm not sure exactly how advanced "way" advanced is, but a little more closed throttle advance tends to smooth out the idle with bigger cams. A little bit richer fuel at idle usually helps, too. I guess if you want the nice "big cam" lope, smoothing out the idle could be a bad thing.

Ok ,My motor runs pretty rough at idle which is no big deal,But he went about 10 degree's in both tables....

How is your throttle response just off idle? I've noticed that some tuners tend to tune for idle and wot without taking time to fix all the little part throttle driveability issues that arise.

Its acctually not to bad ,I was wrong though ,My Park table is where the 10 advance is ,My drive table is 3 degrees advance....

More advance will perhaps help vacuum and that
can relieve cold start over-enrichment, make the
idle less soggy too so the IAC loop works better?

both base spark in park and drive need to be identical

My Tuner has me with to much advance.But why do the Park and Drive Tables have to be Identical?Stock isnt the same....

They don't have to be the same. Park is no load and drive has some torque converter load. I would, however, expect them to be close to the same #difference now as they were stock.

My Tuner has them kinda close to eachother.In park he has got 6-7 degree's less than the Drive table
