well, a friend did a complete exhaust swap. kooks 1 3/4" headers, y pipe with cats, and a borla cat back.
he got done, went for a drive, seemed ok. that was last night. he forgot to tighten 3 out of 4 o2 sensors, guess in all of the excitement that was overlooked. only one of the front 02's was tightened. it was the driver side.
here is where it gets bad........ he was going into town today, well the one cat blew out, meaning broke up and got clogged in the y pipe , where both pipes meet. car wouldn't rev past 1000 rpm.
he towed the car to the shop. we ripped all parts beyond the headers off. only to find the car was dessimated. so he spent some time creating a brand new off road pipe. ok, now reinstall the exhaust. he fubared the pass. rear o2 when the cat came apart, that has been replaced. now when he starts the car it sputters and shoots flames out the tail pipes, it won't idle worth a ****.
any tips on what we can look at?? also it is a 2002 Camaro SS . also other than unplugging the battery, can you do a reset to the PCM? at a total loss here.
tia!!
