You may actually have a bad knock sensor. Its fairly common and pretty easy to fix (removing the manifold is the most annoying part). If you know your sensors and wiring harness are good then you might want to look for the source of the knock. Have you advanced your timing alot? It could also be false knock (exhaust pipes, valve noise, etc). I've had this twice and both times I had a bad sensor.

Your knock sensors are most likely sitting in a bath of water from the car wash. Rip the manifold off and swap in two new knock sensors ..use high temp silicone to seal the cables to the alluminum valley cover....
u need a fuel disconnect tool to remove the fuel rail to get the manifold off... also ...dont bust the oil pressure guage which is located at the back of the intake ....disconnect the vacum boost hose from the brake booster and take care....
good luck...

once water gets in the valley cover where the knock sensors are located it usually stays in becasue of the plastic cover that was designed to seal the area from water..... more GM superior engineering....
I think they moved the sensors to the side of the block in the LS2s....
....My guess is your SES light will return....
