Is There A Way To Drive W/o Head Lights? I Have An 02 Ss, I Was Wondering How I Can Drive With Just The Parking Lights And Fog Lights On.... Thanks |

ebrake, even on a4's |
Just out of curiosity, why do you want them off? I have driven with my lights on during the daytime for 15 years. He only thing I don't like about driving my wifes Mercedes, which has DRL is when a driver in front of me wants to get in my lane and turns his signal on. I like to blink them off momentarily to let him know he can move in. I can't do that in my wifes car. |
thanks |
E-brake doesn't work on mine, but I did do the soldering to the module behind the stereo that disabled my DRLs and automatic headlights. Now my headlights are switchable regardless of how dark it is. Let me know if I need to search for the link, I could probably remove my own and talk someone through the procedure as well. |
There's a black box behind the stereo system to the right. It has two plugs that go into it. I believe the one on the right is what you disconnect. I like that method because it's temporary instead of permanent. The only down side is, M6 cars can't pop the trunk with the keys still in the ignition (A4's can as long as your in park) and your e-brake light won't come up on the dash anymore. Double-check which way the wires run before you do this, but I'm pretty sure it's the right side. Again, this will get rid of the DRL's and auto-headlight feature (I believe). |

Or you could go and buy a T/A instead - no problem driving without headlights here :jest: |
