Ask questions when contacting your local shops too.
Make sure they have done your vehicle type .
They may say they can tune it but our type of car requires special software, some shops may not know that or how to do it.
I had the same problem, noone in my area claimed to be able to do it, or had a rep to do it well.
Search any local F-Body or Muscle Car club web forums or Internet groups.
Also look through the regional section of the board, find your area and do a search, maybe you'll come up with something moderately close, or real close.
There's also Mail order tuners. Some sponsors of this board do that.
OR, if your computer savvy and wanna know everything about your LS1, you can look into tuning it youself. That's the route I'm going b/c ive got the mod bug bigtyme and paying for a tune every mod is not cost effective.
Good luck
