Re: program?

You should consider the fact these remote PCM tunrs are putting a secret key in their code and once your PCM's flash code is written with it, your locked out of your own PCM if you want to use another tuner path in the future and would be forced blowing out their custom code back to stock code just to use a different tuner or need newer stock code.
IMHO, I'd go with the LS1-edit, the learning curve cannot be that hard and in the long run you control how the PCM is calibrated and would be able to flash back to stock if need be.

The only problem with that is the release date for the 01 software is still a year out from Carputing.

I am in line to get the professional edition and would like to offer my services for some dyno tuning if you want to later.

I have a decent amount of LS1 tuning behind me. Just ask those at Speed, Inc. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

I am told that an 00 pcm can easily replace the 01-02 years.
Anyone have any experience or insight to that?

Is it somewhat like the LT1 OBDII to OBDI conversion, swap boxes and knock sensors?

Well there are more options available now for tuning. I'm certain Ed good come up with a good tuine for you, but preferably you would have to take your car to him. Using LS1 Edit to tune a heads/cam/supercharger car is not for a complete amateur. I'm not aware of your skill set but you will need access to a good dyno with widebands to start. How much boost do you plan on running and what upgrades to the fuel system are you doing? What is your target HP?
