What choices do I have to bump up the idle RPM?

Hypertech can't do it. The dealer won't do it.
The cost of LS1edit for a single mod is high as is a PCM tuner that might just "lock out" any future programming unless he is involved.. is not to enticing either
any ideas??

Find a shop/tuner with the unlimited version of ls1 edit and see if they will do this simple modification for you for a reduced rate

- not a sure thing, but seems like the only option I can think of given your limitations listed above.

I agree. I've been after one of the local shops to consider different pricing structures for things that really require dyno tuning (timing and fuel maps) and things that don't (fan temps, limiters, etc.)

Thanks guys, this is a real altenative and since
Ive been talking with PCMdoc at ls1edit, and he has been very responsive to all my questions, maybe he will tell me if there are any "unlimited" version sales here in Phx.

Depending on how much you want to raise the
idle drilling the TB plate hole 1/16
larger is an option
Combined with raising idle screw if needed

If you can't get a local shop to do it, you might look for shops that can do it via mail-order. I know a couple that were looking at building bench setups.
