Re: car won't start??

well found out what was wrong.
it turns out the fuse for the instrument panel was blown.
as it turns out , that same fuse controls the bcm (body control module) and that controls the vats !

now i have to figure out why i have no oil pressure!

car won't start??

just finished installing the new engine, the battery has been dead for a while , so i jumped it.
when i came to start the car , all i heard was a slight ticking noise like what you hear when the batter is dead , i tried again and nothing. not even the clicking noise.

checked fior codes and it said code P1626 and the EASE scanner said it's loss of communication between VATs and bcm.

what could i do??? i checked all the fuses and grounds.

Man thats sucks. Your luckly it is just a fuse and not you BCM which is of course much more expensive. Not sure why no oil pressure after it has been sitting so long. Hope its nothing big.

Re: car won't start??

i think i now know why there is no oil pressure.
it seems i forgot ( i didn't even know i had one) to install a plug in the oil gally. luckily it's the front one not the rear , and all i have to do is remove the front timing chain cover.

chris,
is youre car not cranking??
my problem was the instrument panel fuse which controls the bcm was blown. if you are getting that code check fuse and that the bcm is connected properly.
did you try to use the spare key???
