question about rear o2's

I was told before that they dont do anything to affect performance(if i got simms or not) but I went to ls1 motorsports today and rob raymer said that it will make the car run in closed loop and it will result in hp loss. can anyone clarify this thanks

Re: question about rear o2's

He may of meant open loop? Either way, if he did in fact say and mean closed, then he's wrong twice <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> Rear sims are used by the ECM to verify proper cat operation only. They do not affect performance.
