Need help badly! 2nd gear shift code? About a month ago, I had a Vig 3200 put in my car and gutted my cats. I took my car to get reprogrammed again for those things right afterwards. My car will do the 2nd-3rd shift at part-throttle (about every 4 days) and set off my 2nd gear shift solenoid code. My tuner and I have tryed 5 or 6 times to fix the computer. Now, it set off the code the next day. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

then u would have to just delete that bastard, i had to reset my PCM every time after that code,u still can drive around with SES light but, for me -- i don't like ses lights.

Re: Need help badly! 2nd gear shift code? Put the stock tuning back in and see if it still sets the same code. If it doesn't set it with the stock tune then its a tuning problem. If it still does it then its the noid going bad.
Also recheck all connections on the trans.

Running the tuning for 3 months with no code. Change to an aftermarket converter, throws the slip code. Softened the transmission parameters, still throws code consistently. Set the transmission tuning back to stock, still throws the same code. I've used this tuning on several cars with even more radical converters than this one and they don't throw a code. I'm convinced it is just something within this particular converter that has the PCM thinking that the shifts are taking too long.
The only recourse at this point is to turn off the code and hope for the best.
