any wireing guru's around??? OK I have a 2001 M6 TA that didn't have TCS. I installed a QTEC and they said use the harness pink wire (TCS wire harness) for switched hot and a ground. I used the black with white stripe on the same harness. Since this install I haven't been able to connect with EFILive and just got LS1Edit - no connect either. On LS1Edit I read that I'm supposed to get a green led in the module to show its connected to the PCM - no lights at all. Question is that did I somehow disable the connection port from using that harness??? With the QTEC whenever the ignition is on the toggle switch is lit - maybe pulling power through that circuit locks out the OBD II connection port??? Anyone know before I start re-wiring? |
Re: any wireing guru's around??? The 2 things don't sound related. It sounds like for some reason you have lost the 12 volt battery feed to pin 16 of the diagnostic connector. That is an orange wire that comes straight from the battery thru fuse 11 I think (CIG/ACC FUSE). I'd check that first. Your QTEC wiring sounds ok. |
Re: any wireing guru's around??? I put a 2000 LS1 in a mid-engine Sandrail and have retained the DLC connector. I have it wired as follows. Pin 16 - Hot all the time Pin 5 - Black/White Ground Pin 4 - Black Ground Pin 2 - PPL Serial Data Line My Diablo Hellion scanner comes on when I plug it in, but the switch must be on to get any readings. [ December 21, 2002, 04:55 PM: Message edited by: Dipstick ] |
