Could changing battery reset or mess up the PCM??

Could changing battery reset or mess up the PCM?? I just changed the battery in my 00 SS and now every time I try and start it the car floods itself. I just had 42 1/2 lb fuel Injectors installed along with the Pro Charger. Could changing the battery cause the PCM lose the the reprogramming settings and cause it to flood itself? The reason which led me to think this is after the car flooded, I pulled the fuel pump and Injector relays and let the car sit for an hour. Then tried to start the car and it ran for 3-4 seconds until the fuel in the fuel rail was used. I also am getting spark and gas. Please any info would help thanks.

Re: Could changing battery reset or mess up the PCM?? Typically, come of the data held in the PCM will be reset(fuel trims, ect.), but the tuning itself should not be lost. This may just be a mechanical error like a leaky fuel injector fault. Maybe an aftermarket FI got stuck open? Who knows. I wish I could help more. You cannot run the car at all? Did you attempt to jump start or recharge the old battery in the car?

What I found is that I had to crank it, fast idle it out onto the street and then go drive around for a little while (say 10 or 15 mins). This would give the computer time to relearn everything. Normally I would just drive up to the store or go get something to eat. Then when I would come out to get in the car (the next time it was cranked) it was back to working.
Go drive it and it should fix the problem.
