Low oil light won't turn off!

I know I have enough oil in the car, and don't have oil leaking out of the engine.

What bothers me is that the light came on, but I had plenty of oil in the engine.

Could the low oil light apply to something else other than the engine?

Is the level sensor fried?

My oil level sensor went bad on my Grand Cherokee. Just bought a new one and it cleared the problem right up

The sensor in the side of the oilpan? I would just replace it next oilchange.

I had that same problem. Here is how you fix it. You turn your car on AUX (where you listen to the radio but the car isn't on), and pump your accelerator all the way down and up 3 times. Then, you turn off your car completely and turn it back on. Tell me how this works, it worked for me.

Hey, i had that same problem. Here is what I did. First, turn your car off. Then, turn the key where you can hear the music but the car isn't on. Then, you pump your accelerator 3 times up and down. Turn off your car completely, and then turn it back on. tell me how it works
