Do LS1's run lean with !maf screen?

I know MAF ends make you lean out, but will removing the maf screen? If so, can a predator richen it up?

Taking out the screen shouldn't affect anything. If you port the MAF you will most likely run lean though.
The predator can adjust WOT but will not adjust the base.

Most people running a lid can get away with removing the MAF screen and not run into any problems.

If you are running the FIPK or Volant induction though, you may run into problems. Both of these inductions induce more turblance at the MAF and removing the MAF screen CAN lead to issues.

I'm running an SLP lid and Loud Mouth cat-back with a descreened MAF. I logged a few miles of driving around in different conditions including full throttle through several gears with EFILive, and my fuel mixture was right on the whole time.

what could you use to straiten the air flow to the maf sensor,i have a 4"in. pvc pipe conector
in place of the stock air resonator tank
and it seems to work, i sanded the ends of it to a sharp edge to help straiten the air and let more air in.
it works great but i am sure there is a little
torbulance there.
i have not found any thing that will straiten the airflow,has any body found any,or have any ideas
let me know.
