I'm throwing these codes, what are they? My brother was driving today and found that he is throwing four codes from his LS1. They are 0430, 0181, 0765, and 0040. We found that 0430 is the rear O2 sensor, understandable for the catless pipes. The 0181 is for Fuel Temperature Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance. What is that? 0765 is a shift solenoid, and 0040 is O2 Sensor Signals Swapped Bank 1 Sensor /Bank 2 Sensor 1. How do I fix these?...basically that is my question. |
BTW...these just went off today. The 0430 began when I installed the headers and O/R pipes, but the others just kicked in today. |
so nobody has an answer as to how we can clear these codes up? |
I got the codes to clear, without doing anything. First scan it just showed me the o2 sensor again, and then just before clearing it, it showed me the other three. I think it is just a type of notification for the rear o2 bank. I was just worried about the fuel temperature one, but it seems like there's no problem as we just rode around for about an hour with the scanner hooked up and all was well. |
search and look on the SES code thing ...its a sticky here |
I did...three of the four weren't listed at the chattergear site. The OBDII site described the issues, but I have no idea how to fix them. When I was searching for LS1 codes, they never came up. I don't know if it throws faulty codes at times, or what. |
are the codes still there? |
No, we got them to clear and drove for about an hour, and they didn't come back. However, what could cause the PCM to send out three codes that I can't find any diagnosis to? I'll ask if they come back tomorrow, don't think they will, but I just thought the whole thing was pretty suprising. |
anything could cause the computer to do things....you will be very surprised at times, hell i still am 0430 is Catalyst system low efficiency Bank 2 0181 ? i guess its what you said and for the rest of em' what all sensors did you take off and re-plug after the install? what sensors did your rub by? I mean it really could be anything. Sometimes it just has issues and then corrects itself, or sees someting new and corrects for it. all i can say to do is check all the things you unplugged and make sure they are in their original plug and make sure no grease/water/ or other object is on the pins connecting the sensors |
Yeah, I just did all that. The codes have stayed off through the day, so I assume it was just a fluke that they all came on at once. If they come back i'll repost in here, but I don't think they will. |
