Hp tuners?
I am not a sponsor..but I do tunes locally thru severl local boards for that for full cam and heads..adn come out with a better tune than ust doing a pull on a dyno...
they are going to push your A/F around with 1 table instead of the others that are really responsible for fueling..adn when you get to the street its going to be lean cause you can simulate the characteristics of aiflow on the street/track
I use the dyno..but I use it to find an A/F spark combo..and then I dial in real A/F on the street with a wideband in the exhaust pipes..
you should definately try totalk them down from $350 for a headers/exhaust car that shouldnt cost as much as a heads cam car..
and it will only change your WOT stuff....
you can gain a lot more from a proper street tune especially down low...plus some spark adjustment to help it as well...
shame you are in texas..LOL I dont know anybody or any forums down there that you could ask some more questoins on..
My car is an 00' and I live in Amarillo
If you are ever in the Houston area, I'll scan the car for ya.
You may want to ask around for some local guys that might be willing. Good luck!

....Car is still running a little rich....started out with the a/f at about 9.5 or so and they only got to about 10-10.25....they said when they tried to lean it out, more oil than fuel was there because the rings are getting bad. They also said that someone tried to tune it before and had it too rich. The car has almost 90,000 miles. you need to be in the 12.5-13.0 range
tell the shop experienced tuners are saying they are dumbasses..
ls1's go for 250,000 miles with no issues..I have a buddy that just turned 280,000 miles...yes....a lot of highway travel driving for him...
he's replaced a few things for safety reasons..but its the stock rings and pistons...
I'm at 93,000 on my car..adn have no issues getting the A/F correct...
that shop just doesnt know what they are doing of they cant get there from here...
if you do a compression check(after the engine is hot) you can see how good or bad the rings are getting...if you still have good compression then you shouldnt have any issues...
a leakdown test can also show you how much wear and tear you have from varius parts of the engine as well
