tune messing with O2's May be a stupid question but I am having some serious o2 issues. Seemed to pop up right after a buddy played with the tune. I have switched out the three different sets and still throwing 02 codes. Can a tune cause this? Perhaps the car is running extremely rich cause wierd readings...dunno what do you think? |
generally no, a tune wont cause it, but without seeing the tune you can never tell...also what codes are showing up? There are about 2 dozen o2 sensor codes all meaning different things. |
I need to get it rechecked since the last switch out to make sure. The last time it was reading both o2's non-responsive but I had O2's from a 04 6.0 in there and the plugs were different (I was desperite to switch them out and see if it helped) So I am pretty sure the that was what that was about. I will go get a check after lunch and post the codes. I have SLP headers on the car which run very close to the passenger side o2, so the wire may have been melted????? I will post the codes and see what's up. |
It could be as simple as the fact that the o2 sensors are now relocated further back than before, so aren't heating up as fast, causing them not to repsond properly. It happens. |
