when auto ve why does it create huge spikes is there some way around this or what do i need to change/do about it? Thanks, Tyler |
During the AutoVE process, it's normal to see spikes in the VE table. However, as you get closer to completing the process you should see VE table smooth itself out. |
From my experience you just need to drive aroudn more and hit every cell more times. The more times you hit a cell the better average you will have and the VE table will "smooth itself out" you will still have to do some manual "smoothing" though. |

how many times do you guys have to hit your cells before it even shows a number? i think im going to set mine around 25 at first.... then move it to 50 after i get closer... |
I'd start at 50 and move to 100+. Ideally, you not only want as many as you can get...but, you want them to be steady. |
I just smooth over the huge spikes but it is pretty common to have decent size spikes when Auto VE tuning on a big Cam car. |
how do you guys keep from getting arrested when trying to hit that damn 150kap (killobar) in third gear... damnit my neighbors are pissed... and so is everyone else that lives on that strait stretch of highway... :jest: |
I felt bad for everyone within a 5 mile radius of me when I was VE tuning my car :jest: |
