Default Mail away for break-in then dyno after OK??

I want to break in my motor before putting it on a dyno. I was looking into having a reputable guy do my mail away for the breakin and then after 500 or so miles change the oil with some good stuff and strap her to the dyno. Would this be recommended or not? The mail away guy is right up the road, so he will also be doing my dyno tune. Would it be better to have him mail away the tune then drive it up to him just to put the scanner on it to make sure all is ok before driving to break in? Thanks for the help guys.

You didn't post enough info about your combo for anyone to give an intelligent response on the matter. Some mods are a definite no-no for a mail order tune, and some aren't that big of a deal.

Seems like a waste of money to me because you have to pay for 2 tunes.

I would call the tuner and have him do a basic tune then go back after 500 miles
