LTFT's maxed 1 Attachment(s) Anyone have any suggestions on how to get my LTFT's from being being maxed at 25? I'm very new to tuning and they are maxed. Really not sure where to start. Can't afford a pro right now... |
I set my PE to 1.13 and set the hot as I have my cold for the "tip in" of PE, I zeroed out the adder as well and am using the commanded PE to handle fueling. I've also added 2% twice to my maf from idle to 7500Hz and it hasn't done much to my trims. :( |
you need to leave the MAF numbers alone. Set your PE numbers what you want WOT. normal driving should be ~14.6 AFR w/fuel trims go out and record your fuel trims as the same plot of RPM vs MAP (i believe), ANYWAY its the same as the VE table. THEN: watch ur fuel trims. get a good idea what they are and drive around for at least 2k frames (20min + - ) try to hit various cells between 1k rpm at least 4k rpm (short periods) you will be able to tell what your fuel trims are going towards, 'rough idea' get in your tune and change your VE table according to HALF the value of the averaged trim from the scan. (if its bad like above 10 (in the negative or positive direction) go ahead and increase or decrease it by that in the VE). flash and see if it changed it |

I will keep you guys posted! Thanks again |
be sure to reset your Fuel Trims after changes and before scanning |

I've tried editing the Main VE table a bit and I have gotten rid of my KR but the LTFT's are still incredibly whack. I also just noticed my IAT gauge is in the red. What in the world causes that? |
2 Attachment(s) Most recent update: I changed the VE table to adjust for the fuel trims and the scan from that is Scan 6. I then tried this morning to return the VE table to stock and change the MAF table by 6% and scan 7 is the result. Think this might be the way to go? |
Consider an upgrade to your OS version as well to an 00+ OS But you should disable the maf and tune the VE until your trims are near zero before even looking at the maf else you will be chasing your tail all year. Once your VE is good then re-enable the maf and readjust until they are zero again. Better yet dump the maf in the bin. |

Tune the car speed density. ^^ That is a goofy situation for the little mods that your car has. Have you flashed back to a bone stock tune to see what they are doing then? |

leave the MAF on the car. get your VE tuned in and your fuel trims should level off. why is your IAT in the red?? if your IAT is messed up it could be causing your problems |
