I'm having trouble getting my car drivable with my current setup, and there is a local tuner who is very good. He uses HP tuners, but I own EFI Live. I was wanting a rough tune from him, then I can go from there. He said he would use HP tuners and give me a decent base tune, then I could just download the tune he gives me with my EFI Live and go from there.

I just wanted to double check that you can do that. Can you use EFI Live on a computer that was previously tuned with HP tuners?

As long as no custom operating systems are installed you should be able to tune back & forth between the two without issue.
