Where's the extra timing coming from??
 

I have been playing around with a little more agressive timing table from a 98 on my 01 Corvette. The maximum amount of timing from .52 g/cyl & up is 28 degrees. However, when I logged a recent WOT run, I had some timing values of 30, 31 and 32 degrees!

Where could the extra timing be coming from?

My low octane table is much lower. The car was up to operating coolant temp and IAT temps were low but not into any sort of range where the car adds timing.

Any ideas?

i've seen everything from the min commanded spark table being high to adders just skewing things, etc.

01 + Vettes have the AFR adder table populated. In LS1Edit is called Fuel Ratio vs RPM adder. Just zero out the whole table if you want to tune strictly by the high octane table.

I took a look and cannot find that table in LS1EDIT. Do you know what version it is in?

Thanks! I found it and zeroed it out and timing is now what i expect to be. Do you happen to know how this other table works? I am not sure what the top table is referring to. It's not labelled but looks like a multiplier of some sort.

It's labled in the upper left corner. EQ Ratio. It is the commanded A/F ratio that is in the PE table. Fuel > Power Enrichment > RPM

Thanks. So if this corresponds with the PE table, it appears to add up to 4 degrees of timing at WOT depending on A/F ratio. Interesting.
