Default What pid do i look at to see if my torque converter is locking.

Im having an issue with a converter that wont lock. I was told to check to see if the pcm is sending the command to lock the converter. What pid in auto tap do i need to watch to see if the pcm is sending the command to lock..

auto tap doesn't have a pid for tcc mode. It does have tcc pwm duty cycle and states

Displays 0%-100%. This parameter is the commanded percentage of ON time of the TCC PWM solenoid. 90% represents an ON (energized) commanded state. 0% represents an OFF (non-energized) commanded state.

to me that looks like the one i would watch out of the list auto tap has.

Those pids will only tell you if its commanded on, not if its actually locked up. You need to monitor engine rpm and input shaft speed. Dont know if auto tap has input shaft speed.
These 2 will tell you if the TCC is locked up and theres no slip.
Does auto tap have bi-directional controls? If so you can use it to lock and unlock the TCC and see if its working.

no, i just wanted to see if it was commanded, just trying to eliminate possiable reasons why its not locking up and the first step is to see if the computer is sending the command to lock the converter. Auto tap does have pids for tcc slip rpm.

Then yeah, the ones you had mentioned are the ones you want. Do you have tuning software?

sure do. Ls1 edit for the tuning.

don't think its the tune since i tuned it for the old 3,800 stall already. The new stall is the same stall speed but just a better clutch.
