Default Need to check my air/fuel ratio.

I have the u7198 predator handheld but it can't monitor the air/fuel ratio. What other options do i have. I don't have the money for the more expensive tuners yet so i'm hoping there's anyway i can check the air/fuel ratio.

WB! What is a couple hundred dollars if you have an expensive engine on the line?

Many people will gab on about how expensive WBs are but I guarantee if you bought one you will never regret it.

A WB + gage will cost about $250+. I have a LC-1 and it works great.

If you go to the DS forum there's a big sticky that goes into detail on how to use the LTFT to balance out your A/F and ultimately the power enrichment. It's the poor man's air/fuel tuning guide.

Why not take a look at the write up yourselves instead of be cynical and stooping to ridicule. The guide speaks for itself and it works for those who have used it on stock or lightly modified engines. Take another look at what the thread starter asked and what he has for tuning.

For the second time in this thread.... and I don't care what some sticky tells you, you CANNOT TUNE WOT WITH TRIMS.

Before I had my WB i got my PE dialed in close with trims but a WB is what you really need IMO.

You are right you can't. You could only fill in as much of the table as you can and then guess anywhere you can't run your AFR at 14.7.

I am sure you could get close like that but doesn't it go completely against the practise of tuning? Where I am saying tuning is getting it as close to correct as you can using Knowledge PLUS Equipment.

Otherwise, your car isn't in tune if it is just a guess.

I guess you could jump on a dyno and make small fueling adjustments until you got the most power but that would take forever and require alot of work to keep the car in tune. I don't like working blind, personally.
