Default Automated knock alarms -- video inside

Here's a quick video we threw together demonstrating the new EFILive V2 standalone logging/display as well as automated PID alerts.

In this case, we are showing automated knock alerts. Very, very useful.

http://www.mphparts.com/video/efiv2knock.wmv

Let me know what you guys think. I think it's kind of revolutionary. Not that we didn't have access to this data before, but it's just different when you have to lug a laptop around with you. It's definitely a lot easier to keep EFILive in your car and just listen for alerts when you're out doing your daily driver thing.

We have EFILive V1s and V2s in stock and if you missed our other posts in the sponsor sales section, we are also now an Innovate Motorsports warehouse and have a ton of widebands in stock. We also offer a pretty killer wideband/EFILive combo package that gets you $100 off for any V1 or V2 plus wideband combo (again, details in the sponsor sales section).

Yes that was my unsteady hand taping the video. Guess I had to much Sugar at I hop before we filmed that. LOL
Sorry for the shaky hand.

Nifty.

I remember asking Paul for that feature years ago with one of the first versions of EFI-Live they produced. I loved it.

I still dont get why HPTuners hasn't put audible alerts in their scanner.

It's sooo useful.

Yes one really cool feature. I teach all the shops that i go to to use this when they are tuning. It puts less things they have to be worried about while on the dyno or street. So the driver can pay attention to as much important data as possible.

Nice video. Maybe take more time showing what buttons you pushed to get there for the people that are about to buy it!

I have a FSV2 and love it.

What parameters can you monitor with V1 and a laptop? I plan on getting V2, but can only afford V1 for now.
Oh, and I've videotaped my Predator while driving a 6spd...it's not easy eh?

We pressed up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, start. Then something came up and told us we had infinite lives?

Whoaaaahhhh... old NES throwback there

All of these features are not 100% publically available, but will be in the coming weeks. This was really meant as a teaser more than anything

With a V1 you can monitor any OBD PID. You can also import wideband data in realtime from the wideband of your choice. This is why we sell several Innovate / EFILive packages together. Not only can we offer you a killer deal, but we also know that both products are just that much more powerful together.

It's one thing to see air/fuel against RPM (which a lot of products can do), but it's an entirely other thing to see both of those next to spark advance, knock retard, commanded air fuel, etc.

Give us a call tomorrow and I'd be happy to explain.

Tony, thanks. I'm working with Jesse. I bought a programmed PCM and have now ordered the V1 from him. Hopefully I can move up to the V2 soon, but I think the V1 will be a step in the right direction for sure. (from Predator) Once I get the V1 software I'll play with it to see what it does. No point in asking anybody questions if I haven't even seen it yet. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.

Thanks for the info.

That's real cool. I think its pretty easy to hear knock on lsx motors but I'd like to hook up my V2 to do that.

By the time you hear it, it's usually too late. Not that your motor is gone per se, but some serious knock has occurred for you to hear it. I'd say 9 times out of 10 the PCM has picked up knock my ears haven't.

Just food for thought.

All I have to say if I have audiable alerts on my V2 and it is worth every penny. It is much faster than waiting for the laptop to connect. Just plug it in and hit a couple of buttons. No laptop batteries to die or run low on you.

Finally, there is a scanl tool and tune tool all in one and you don't have to have a laptop!

[tune features coming soon]

Best investment ever!

I think the game in question is "Contra" if I remember correctly, LOL. By pressing select then start you added player two. Hours of mind numbing fun.
