Car Won't Start Help!

When I tried to send a file to the PCM, I got an error that the file didn't match the hardware. Hmm.
Tried to read the PCM. Kept trying to re-send the security key. Hmm. Tried to start the car. Cranks but that is it.
What the heck happened? PCM fried??

You may have just created a door stop....PCM = TOAST

If you can get your vehicle to a dealer you can have the reflash it with their tech tool. Sometimes they can breath life back into them.

They can reflash it, trouble is. They will reflash it to my car's VIN. The PCM is from another car wich EDIT is locked to.

Contact Carputing.com and ask them what your options are......

That same thing just happend to me. I started to load a program to the PCM, program stopped and then there was no communication between PCM and predator. Truck wouldn't start so a tow to the stealer and about 500 later I had a new PCM... old one was fried.

I have a spare thank goodness. But have to figure out what to do on EDIT.

I have already sent an email to Carputing.
Though I might get a quicker answer here.

I've heard of this happening before . . . I think Carputing will transfer you to the other VIN for like a $50 charge.

They told me they will transfer the license to me for $50. They don't transfer the cable to another VIN. They would have to add a VIN costing me $150
