Default A/C not cold enough

I have been using my a/c regularly now since its in the 90's here and i noticed its taking a LONG time to cool off. With it on MAX and the blower on high even when it finally cools off its not cold. Its a 2000 T/A with 48k. Should i try one of those freon cans with the mini gauge on it that the auto part stores sell ?

Thanks

i used one on my air conditioning and it stayed cold for a few days then went back to how it used to be. you might want to check for leaks. mine still doesn't work and its gonna suck if i dont get it fixed by the summer!!

Did the can you use have the small gauge on it ? Did it show you were low ?

Dispite what that little gauge on the can tells you it is not correct. If it takes a little while to get cool you probably have a low charge and need to first have it checked for leaks(despite what anyone says, freon does not just go away, its a closed system and needs a leak to go away) and recharged by someone who knows what they are doing.
