Default 02 TA hit in the back now no RPM/Miles per hour?

So I was in an accident where I was hit in the back now for some reason my RPM`s and Mile per hour gauges do not work there is also no mileage showing. Any ideas? Please help

so the ecu is in the front of the car the car wasn`t hit that hard that i think it would have lost a connection in the ECU. Isn`t the speed sensor on the back wheel? Could that be the issue? How would that affect the RPM`s

Which transmission? May be Vehicle Speed Sensor got jarred.

hit hard enough it knocked the connector loose in the back of the gauges?

maybe something got pinched causing a short? I forgot which fuse is for the gauges.

defiantely not hit that hard. Maybe shorted the fuse out.

oh I know they are going to fix it trust me. I would just rather be informed as to what it could be so I dont get screwed

I would venture to guess that it deals with the sensor telling the ECU/BCU what the RPM/Speed is. I would also check the fuses, but I would think the whole dash itself wouldn't work, rather than just 2 gauges on the cluster.
