Default Transforming my 97 Firebird V6

I have a 97 Firebird V6, i found a T/A bumper for dirt cheap $40. Is that bumper worth $40? its in excellent shape. I got a friend that will give me front bumper for free, what else would i need to make it look like a T/A?

I decided to go with a 97 Firehawk look, hood and rear wing/hatch like a TA.

What kind of hood did they use? I heard the Firehawk and T/A's had different hood. Whats the difference between the two.

BTW is it hard to do a LS1 T/A style front bumper, hood, fenders if so how much work is it?

If I'm not mistaken the lt1 firehawk had the same hood as the ws6 and a formula style wing.

Actually 97 year Firehawks came with T/A style rear wing's.

This video done by MW is a 97 Firehawk unmodified, it has the T/A style wing.

^ its my understanding that the lower of these two is the hawk hood. the higher of the two is exactly the same as whats on my 97 formula ws6 which leads me to believe it could just be exactly that (a 97 formula ws6 with hawk stickers and wheels)

might depend on the year?

Actually sometime in 1996 i believe SLP started running out of Firehawk hoods (lower one) and started using the WS6 hood (upper one) in its place since they knew the LS1 was coming for 98 and didn't want to make any more firehawk hoods. The hawk pictured in the top pic is one of the rare 29 1997 LT4 equipped hawks. I don't remember if SLP made the WS6 hoods for GM or not. i'd like to know since the one on my car is an oem hood that was a part of a first run of 25 "prototype" hoods that had a blemish and they fixed the mould and made more and gave/sold the prototype hoods to some employees and i got mine from a friend of the person who worked there who sold a group to the guy and he sold them on ebay for several years. i got mine, hsi second to last one, in 2008. he said they used to fetch $1k+ back in the late 90s. i paid a little over $300. A guy at the T/A nats in 08 said he worked for GM and remembered those hoods and the blemish and i showed him the remnants of mine (can kind of be seen in the paint although the hole is filled) and he said it was definately the blemish the prototypes had.

here's how i got my hood. the blemish is a little black dot on the drivers side of the hood in the little dip between the outer hood and the nostril part. it was unpainted and had never been installed on a car. the hole was barely smaller than the tip of my pinky finger
