what did you do to your firebird today?

On The Tree
Ya no kidding and then the return hose for the PS reservoir is in such a tight spot took me a while just to be able to yank it out along with banging my hand against countless other things in the engine bay. Gotta love GM's engineers designs

Swapped the stripped metal headlight gear for another. The previous owner had done it apparently, but their epoxy did not hold. I epeoxied and added a couple washers to pinch it tight

Replaced motor mounts with Prothane. Cut off stock exhaust when I noticed my 12-bolt with only 5,000 miles has a leaking axle seal. If the rain stops, I'll replace the axle seal today and mount my long tubes, x-pipe and true duals.

Washed it. It was 6 months since the last wash. Hell, it was the first time in 6 months that I turned the engine on! I moved it to my new car port.

Today I got my 99 WS6 tuned.
I recommend to anyone and everyone to get the car tuned if you're looking to make power.
The car was running EXTREMELY lean. They are meant to run lean from the factory, but even a lid threw my AFR into the trash, and mine has only 75k miles.
Anyway, car runs like a raped ape now and I am very happy with it, and think you will feel the same.

I have always thought a mostly black interior with tan carpet and door inserts would pop in the right way. give the seats some tan stitching and it would just add that final touch...atleast for me and thats from a guy that hates TAN and has a black and red interior

Rim lips were polished car was detailed for the first time in six months, recharged the air conditioning system and he threw a knock sensor bank 2 code.....what an *******, huh? LOL! I think it is related to stale fuel. Same fuel tank just sitting there for six months....I erased it and took it for a drive. No codes again. Ran like a champ.

I finally got the ***** to do the Low Beam / High Beam / Fog Light simultaneous mod. I grounded it to the bolt itself instead of splicing it into another wire, though. Beautiful results.

Launching!
Been awhile since I've been on and shared stuff. A brief synopsis of the last few months entail replacing the factory transverse muffler and tailpipes with an 18" long 4" round body 2.5" single in/single out Jones MaxFlow muffler and a mandrel bent 2.5" tailpipe for 3rd/4th gens(because being a Formula hardtop wasn't lowkey enough ), an AEM air filter to go with the existing cold air intake, a new headlight harness with relays and 12 AWG wiring along with 100W/80W bulbs to go with the H4 E-codes, then a Core Shifters short stick and made a microsuede shift boot to go with it since the original vinyl one wanted to bind. Pretty much covers it all I think.

Launching!
Just ordered a microsuede dash cover, I hate dash covers but the microsuede ones appear to actually look decent unlike the carpet ones. Has a 30 day 100% satisfaction guarantee so I figured it was worth a shot, that and from the picture they're nicely contoured to the dash and don't just hang off the face like the carpet ones. So if that ends up being the case it'll look better than all the cracks and the added benefit of reduced glare, sure I'd rather put in a new(nice used '97-99) dashboard and dash cap but that's money I much rather put towards aftermarket suspension.
