i recently swap my 94 formy center console with a 98-02 style it went in with no problems but once installed and fully assembled i noticed sometimes it will have trouble shifting into park and it seems like the shifter indicator gets jammed somewhere because the whole thing will pull down im just wondering if there was any difference to the shifter assembly in the newer firebirds or if it was something else. i spent about two hrs trying to get it to work at first because it wouldnt shift into park at all and ended up takeing out the factory plastic that goes around the shifter and put a leather boot on it works better but will still jam up sometimes
