Sorry guys, I haven't posted back here in a lil while! I have been VERY busy lately trying to catch up on some things around the house, as well as work (work picks up alot in the spring and summer so I have limited time)

As an update, I do not have the car back yet...
I talked to Jason at MWC today, the car is said to be done very soon, but that he doesn't have an exact date. They have been swamped with orders over there and are doing there best to get everyone caught up, but it seems like the more they get out the door twice as many orders come in.
For those of you waiting on parts, Stick it out... The wait is well worth it in the end!

The car has been there 4 months now, and they are just now getting around to doing the work on it if that tells you how busy they have been. I dropped the car off Feb. 5th and said just get to it as time permits!
Well, I'm hoping time permits soon, b/c I miss my car and the engine (shortblock) should be done next week lol.

Anyways, I will post TONS of pictures as I start working on the car, and I'll even put in words anything/everything I do. I'm usually very detailed about this kinda stuff.

Thanks everyone for following along, and I'll update as soon as I have stuff worth posting about!

Also,

I get the car back from MWC tomorrow! **I Can't Wait**

I'll post up some pictures as soon as I can, although I'm not really sure when that'll be... considering I told the GF I'm shacking up in the garage for about a week. lol

Yep, That's right... I told her don't mind the Candle-lit garage; late at night, Marvin Gaye Music playing in the back ground (lets get it on), and the loud obnoxious noises I'll be making as well. It's all b/c the TA is gonna be just PURE SEX with the cage in there! I can't freakin wait...

Also, got an update on the shortblock... It should be done VERY soon. The crankshaft was back-ordered for 8 weeks, therefore I was at the mercy of them. Once I recieve the car and new shortblock I'll be placing an order on the heads, and then just gonna sit back and wait it all out again.
However, I'll be updating this thread frequently b/c I plan on working on the car as much as possible.

Stay Tuned!

Got the car back on Saturday!
And all I can say is WOW! MWC did an amazing job on the cage and the other items I got as well. The wait was well worth the finished product.
Thanks Midwest Chassis for everything. I really am satisfied with the quality of work your shop puts out.

I spent all day yesterday fitting the dash in the car, cutting the carpet to fit, and getting everything in there and functional. I did however scratch the paint on the passenger door bar putting the dash back in... So it looks like I gotta retouch up that area. But it's an easy fix! I'll post pictures later tonight, if time permits.

Cage will certify me to 8.50's
After that, I would need to go with a 25.2 or 25.5 setup! But I don't plan on running 8.50's so Im cool with this 1.

Getting started on the MWC Fab 9 rearend swap!!!

Heres the old tired 10 bolt before being pulled out!

Wow, Weather took a toll on the TA. I gotta clean up under there and Undercoat the chassis asap!

MWC Fab 9 getting ready to go in!

And it's done!

Heres a view of the Fab 9 in the car... Nevermind the Panhard bar, It's a few years old now. Paint needs touched up bad!

Strange Rear RACE Brakes...

Now for the engine bay!!! It was DIRTY AS HELL!

So I pulled everything out that I didn't need in there at the time, and Got it ready for paint!

Relocated the Hood Cable on the drivers side to under the drivers side fender! All I had to do was bend the opening in the sheet metal (by the rear area of the inner fender) apart and the cable went right through there.

Taped off the front end, to begin painting the Engine Bay!

I primed thew engine bay with Rustoleum Primer, and then started to spray the gloss Black paint as well.

Heres a close up of the primer and the gloss black paint.
**Note, I did not sand the primer b/c I was trying to catch the "Crinkled" look in the paint. My last car was Flat and smooth black paint, and I was trying something different this time. It looks good I think for what it is, but I still think the actual crinkle paint would've been WAY better to use. Oh well, I'm not redoing it all again. lol

Oh, and my favorite thing about the OUTSIDE of the car so far is my new license plate I ordered.
In case your wondering what LSX FTW is, It's LSX For The Win!

I'll post some more pics as soon as I get back to working on the car. I've been busy working on another Trans Am lately and don't know how much longer until I'm done. I'm in the process of doing an engine swap for a friend.

Lovin' it man.. that license plate is great!

Hey I know you got your deals and what not but if you need parts or clutches, nitrous, injectors, engine parts , etc, let me know - or friends who need stuff- any car. I bought into a distributorship so I can open a performance parts retail store.. oh- Turbos and parts too..

Not much up there yet, its slow progress as I put together my catalogs. www.jkperformance.com

You know where to get a hold of me at though!

Thanks man, I'll lyk. That's really cool your trying something new man! Get a dealership into procharger systems, and we may have a deal. hahahaha
I want to do a F1A procharged AES 390 CID LS2 with TFS heads in the near future as well. I have been looking at that alot here lately, but It's not gonna be for a few years if at all. It's alot of $$$ when you figure all the other stuff to support the power I would be after. (800+ rwhp)

I'm torn, and I get bored with cars fast, so my new setup will only make me happy for a little while I'm sure. lol

That WSQ hood is I can't wait to get one, hell I wish I had the money to be doing all this. Little bits at a time for me, just ordered my LT's and TD. Saving up for mechanics school is kicking my ***, but will be worth it, if I can ever stop spending money here and there on my car in the mean time Unfortunately new tires and windshield are a must, there's $1,000. Anyways I got family up in Indianapolis, I'm up there every so often. Maybe next time I'll let you know and we can meet up and check out this beast. It'll be awhile thou lol
