Just picked up a 00 Firehawk. Trying to figure out what a sound from the rear is when I hit certian bumps only on passenger side. Sounds like a hollow sound. Checked the shocks to make sure there was no movement. Where is my next area to investigate? Also how do I know what suppension package I have? I have orange shocks.

Congrats on the Hawk. I don't know what the sound is, however if the sticker on your door jam is not legible, you can call SLP to get the info on if it has the Bilstein suspension. I believe the Bilstein's are yellow though.

Is your car lowered at all? I have a noise web I go over bumps and have come to the conclusion it's my panhard bar hitting the upper one when the suspension is uneven

Sound is defiantly coming from the rear passenger side. Only over certain bumps. Just trying to see where I should be looking. Don't want to replace what is not the issue. Like I said sound like a hollow sound when it happens.

Check to see if there is a legible 'second sticker items listing' decal on the passenger side door jamb.

The orange shocks you have are the stock DeCarbon shocks.

The sound your hearing my be the spare donut tire moving around. It's back there on the passenger-side behind the plastic interior panel.

Would a blown shock make the noise? Think I will be replacing the with new Bilestins.

So took the spare and jack out. Still making the same noise. Any other thoughts? Looked at the pan hard bar looks like itis not tubing and exhaust looks good for clearance as week. Stuck on this.

Maybe the bump stop is missing on your frame and the suspension's hitting the car?

no your not ganna bottom out on some little bumps just cause the bumpstop is not there.

check all your bushings could be one of them is worn out. also could be one of your spring isolators is shot. still could possibly be the shock too.

I had the same issue on my T/A I never really did any investigating cause I planed a strano/koni setup anyways. i had a ws-6 with decarbons as well with 110k

Had a similar noise coming from ther rear passenger side in my WS6. It turned out the the lug wrench near the spare tire jack was loose. It only rattled when hitting certain bumps.
