Default current dash is blue, want to change it to black...what type of paint to use..

My dash in my 67 Firebird is blue, I am changing the whole interior to black. What type of spray paint/paint would I use on this? ( it is metal) I want it to be landau black. Thanks

funny-just changed mine from black to blue. I used the paint classic industries sells. not sure of brand but used it on hard and soft parts and it looks great. i used adhesion promotor on the soft parts and it didnt help in fact it went on better without it.

I agree, metals get regular paint.

Interior components usually get a flat or low gloss finish.

If the blue parts are in good shape, you might be able to sell them and buy new/repro parts in black. Most repro stuff is only available in black, so factory blue may be more valuable to someone wanting to restore an interior w/o having to dye parts. Just a thought.
