Catalytic converter with long tubes?
So I can't pass inspections anymore with help so I need to install
my question is, Can I install a converter with my following set up...
2000 WS6
american racing long tube headers
Y pipe
Borla catback
any suggestions would be much appreciated if I can, because I really don't want to sacrifice my sound at ALL =)

You could weld a couple hi-flow cats in the y-pipe or get a catted y-pipe from texas speed. Both of those options wouldn't hurt performance/sound too bad. Can't say for sure that they would pass emissions though.

I don't think the Texas Speed catted-Y will bolt up. I have been considering losing my ARH catted y but haven't exactly made up my mind yet. How much would you be willing to add plus you Y? Is the visual the only reason you are not passing?

the visual is the only reason, I considered just throwing on a hollow bolt on, after I made the cut in the y, just so it would look like its in.
I'm not fond of changing what I have in since I love the performance and sound I get out of it on my other hawk
so I guess I'll have to go with cutting and welding some high flow in
it's just pissing me off to the point that I'll just pay to pick the cat up
no one will pass it anymore, not even friends or co-workers
*sigh*

I've been considering buying the ORY and just swapping the catted one in when need but didn't want to have to spend any more money on it yet.
