Default 02 TA LS1 air injection pump problem. help needed

Hello On my 02 Trans Am LS1 the check engine light came on (OF COURSE) and when computed the data is saying that the Air Injection pump is the problem. Can anyone tell me where this is located on the LS1 and how do I troubleshoot it.
Please help
Terry

The pump itself is located in the bottom hatch door that is in front of the driver's front wheel. It will have tubing that comes up and connects to a vacuum tee on the back of the intake, the side of the airbox baffles and the exhaust manifolds. Check all the connections for any leaks and that the plugs are all secure. What is the actual code number that it is throwing?

Code is P0410B

we took out the solenoid relay switch and it was working off and on, we can hear the pump also when the solenoid relay is working, so we took it off and it works fine.

Then we checked the two valves and they need replacing, so I'll get new ones and the switch and we will see what happens.

You can also remove that whole system and put in block-off plates on the manifolds. It's just there to help heat up the cats on start-up. I took everything off last week and it really cleans up the engine bay, saved me ~8lbs with the hoses and everything.

Well I replaced the 2 valves and the relay that controls the air pump. After driving 50 miles the check engine light came on again?? DARN IT!!! The pump inside the drivers side fr fender seemed to pump fine? So the valves and control relay seemed hot and carbon filled. But after $150 in parts same light on the dash..
Please help and I do not want to remove the system.
