Default Lm7 into 68 firebird

Hi, I'm new here so please bare with me. I've read lots of ls1 tech threads but can't seem to find the info I need. I'm using an lm7 with the edelbrock carb intake. I'm looking into oil pans engine mounts and headers. From what I've read the new Holley 302-2 is my best option, I'm using an old school Muncie 4 speed and would like to basically just drop in the engine and bolt it up, is that possible? Or do I have to do some repositioning? Any input is appreciated any part #'s is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I see that hooker makes clam style mounts apparently for use with the Holley 302-2 pan?

The new 302-2 pan would be a good fit specifically for that car. I like the Dirty Dingo mounts as they have adjust ability in where you need to mount it. Kooks and ARH make fantastic swap headers, as well as Stainless Works.

What bellhousing/clutch are you using for the swap?

PM me if you need any other info or prices on parts and good luck with the swap!

Thanks, Mike

At this point all I have is the engine and Muncie minus bell housing and shifter box the car was auto so I've slowly been hunting down the parts required, I'm thinking about using a hydraulic throw out bearing, I was thinking on using a stock bell housing for the cat if I could find one.

Car* I don't mind spending the money on new parts as long as they will work or fit for my application. I'm hoping someone has done something close to the same and can give me direction.

Quicktime performance makes a ready fit SFI bellhousing for that swap, but it is a bit on the pricey side compared to a stock one.

For a hydraulic conversion, McLeod has a really nice direct fit firewall kit that makes a Hyd Clutch easy.
