Want to buy new WS6 Hood ASAP - Should I buy an ebay replica for $380??
I was browsing ebay last night and narrowly lost to someone over a us exotics ws9 hood. He got it for a steal at $450. Anyway, now I have an itch and want to buy a hood right now, but there are a few different options out there.
I have heard of Duraflex, and they are on ebay for $381 shipped.
I found another fiberglass WS6 hood from Discount Auto Parts for $384 shipped. Here is the link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/98-02-Pontiac-Firebird-Trans-Am-WS6-Functional-Ram-Air-Hood-Body-Kit-/221273611070?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3384ef5b3e&vxp=mtr#ht_3924wt_896Of course I would love a WSQ or WS9 hood, but those are $695 PLUS shipping! I couldn't even convince the wifey to ok some brass gears for the headlights (she doesn't know how painful it is to hear them grind everytime you close them), so I think I could get away with around $400 to $500 including shipping.
Are those 2 hoods the same or is one better quality? Appreciate any advice, I don't want to waste $400 on a shitty hood if I need to spend the extra $200 to make it worth it. Thanks

I got a us Exocits super hawk hood last spring and love it. It is quality made fitment was great, my painter said it was one of if not the best fiber. hood he ever worked with. Roger was great to work with, he is a one man show so sometimes takes some time to hear back right away. Best of all I won the bid last New Year's Day when nobody was paying attention for $366.00 things to keep in mind cost me $1,000 to get painted, and shipping is somewhere around $140. That is any hood. I live in Pa so I just picked it up.
Pm me your # I can send you some pics

Try my profile and look at album cool stuff there are a few showing the different stages from start to finished product. As far as eBay he lists them under US Exocits , Super Hawk Hood. He had some guy listing them for him but was going to do them on his own shortly after I bought my hood. That is about all I know

You won't either, take your time and email Roger he will send you some helpful hints on fitment and adjusting the lights to fit. A little tweak hear and there it will get better until it fits dam near perfect. It takes some time so don't rush it and you will be happy.
One hint when your fitment is where you want it drill a 1/8" hole in the hinge bracket so you can stick a rivet in to line it up if you take it off for any reason
