Exhaust Question How Do I Make My 2000 Trans Am Louder? I Have A Flowmaster Muffler On It And Its A Little Louder But I Would Like To Make It A Little Louder Without Taking Off The Cats. Any Ideas?

I had the same thing on my 98 T/A. I just went to the muffler shop and had them cut the Flowmaster off and basically do a loudmouth type setup. This was back in 98 before the loudmouth came out. It sounded good and was pretty loud. The Flowmaster you have is like an 80 series, which is really quiet and doesn't help your hp. out much at all.

I had a Flowmaster for two months, and hated it. It was way too quite. Flowmaster sounded good on my LT1, but not the LS1. I replaced it with the Loudmouth and LOVE it. You can't beat the LM for the $.

Get an SLP loud mouth cat back... that will make it loud!!! It's just a resonator, but if you want agressiveness get the Magnaflow cat-back system...

really loud? dumped true duals. something you can live with every day? lm with a borla xr1 muffler in place of the resonator. alot of people use a dynomax enstead, but i know for a fact the borla sounds mean, and doesn't have all the rasp the lm does
