Default 02 WS6 Trans am M6 vs A4 (future purchase)

I have been actively looking for an 02 WS6 M6 with ~50K mile range or so but nothing is jumping out at me (that has not already been sold). Seeing a few nice A4 cars and was re-thinking maybe I should get an auto ? DD and past 2nd gen Fbodies have always been stick....don't mind the auto (actually would maybe be nice for for a change). Anyway my question is the autos less sought after and have less of a resale potential due to a typical "sport" car is usually a stick ? Any pros/cons for M6 vs A4. I think this is my last "unknown". From the assistance of this forum I have already got an idea of a price range and several typical areas/items I should be aware of while shopping for the right car. Any opions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

I've had a lot of friends who bought automatic muscle/sports cars and quickly regretted it. Apparently whoever owned my car before me also regretted it as my T/A had a 6speed swapped into it at some point in it's life.

If you want to try an auto, go for it, but if you were initially set on a manual I'd say wait for a good one to pop up.

Manual cars are harder to find, so yeah they are worth more. When I was looking for my car I cant tell you how many nice, low mileage cars I would click on with excitement only to immediately hit the back button when I saw they were auto. Auto = schme.

Unless you are planning on doing a lot of drag racing..... But still sticks are cooler for that too. Maybe not better or faster, but much cooler.

Nothing wrong with an Auto. I've had both and I don't really mind either way. Unless your heart is just absolutely set on a manual, pick up one of those clean autos that pass your way and enjoy it.

I would never DD a manual anymore, just too much work. But I understand why you want one...because autos are gay....lol.

I DD my M6 and it can be a pain in stop-and-go traffic, but it's defiantly worth it when you hit the highway

My first ws6 was an auto and it just wasn't for me. I enjoy the 6 speed a lot more.
