Yes, the headers have been haunting me from the beginning.
But hopefully he can make it fit.

Extremely cool build. I like the concept and your execution. I hope it comes together well for you.

So how goes the build, I've been seriously concidering doing the same thing. Scratch that I'm going to do the same thing. Being a retired welder/fabricator that part wont be the problem, my only concern is the fact I want to keep my 6-speed. I've been building Pontiac engines since 1977 so I know what a Pontiac can and can't do. I hope everything is going well with it!!! Way To Go!!!

The build is in the slow lane right now. I have not had much time to work on it.

I did get my 3 point sub frame connectors and the rear lower control arms. I am running my fuel lines now. When that is done I will put the 8.8 in.

Hopefully my headers will be completed soon.

With your knowledge and welding skills it will be easier for you than it has been for me !!!!

Little update,

I installed my MWC Drive shaft Loop. That is a very nice and great fitting piece.

Received my US Shift Quick 1 controller for the 4l80e.

More to come.........

Very nice build

I'm in the process of building a set of 2 3/8 stepped to 2.5 primary headers forward facing and out the front bumper cover for my transam, to go to the 540 tall deck bbc.

You don't have to tell me about headers being a pita LOL!

Here's a picture, first step on the first side done. I'm sure you're guy is having almost as much fun LOL.

First thing we had to do was take the hood, and front end off because how long they are in 93-97. ( our cherry picker couldn't reach that far )

We got it in but we ran into two problems. One was that the steering knuckle was in the way of my manifolds so we just unbolted it by one screw and pulled it off.

we also had to pull the balancer, distributer, and coil out for an easy install. ( picture of the unbolted Steering Knuckle )

We cut the cowl so we could set the motor back farther. We are probably going to have to cut the whole damn cowl out so we can put my 800cfm Rochester Q-Jet and my edelbrock aircleaner
