Default Finally did the CETA mod.

I used:
Painters tape
Plasti dip
Newspapers

Here's what it looked before the mod.

Before.

I washed the area and made sure to dry it really well.
I then began to tape it.

After the tape I put the first coat.

Plasti dip. I used one can.

I did 3 coats.

Alll done

I wasn't really sure about doing this because I thought I'd mess up but it's really easy.

It looks much better in my opinion.

I liked the plastic dip because it's easy to do, I can do it myself, and if I would've messed up I could just take it off. I think they have glossy plasti dip as well.

ok thanks. Did you jack up the rear of the car? and I noticed you dont have tips on yours would that affect the angle to spray the underpart of the bumper?

I did not jack up the car. I washed the area real nice and dried it, it's important you dry it well. Put on some work on my car clothes, mask for my face, and safety glasses. I just layed on my back to get the bottom part of the bumper. If your car is lowered then yes, I would jack it up. If you have tips just cover your tips with newspaper.

Hey when you took off the painters tape how long did you wait? Till it dried completely or was plasti a lil wet still? Reason I ask is because when I did my wheels more plasti dip came off than was supposed too. I tried pulling tape off at angle which helped.

After the third coat I took the tape off. I did not let it dry, it's better if you take it off while the plasti dip is wet

I did not sand the area or anything like that. I just washed it and dried it then began the taping process which is the longest part. If for some reason you mess up you can always just peel it off and there will be no damage to your paint.

Plasti dip is easy stuff to work with. Try YouTube for better results. My advice is to take your time with the tape and make sure to peel the tape away from the dip, don't just rip it off.

Looks great! I don't always like the way the CETA looks better, but I do think it looks much nicer on the red cars.

Did mine right after I bought it. I have to say, it should have been an option from the factory. It looks FAR better than stock.
